The essence of who we are.
Passion, quality, and authenticity
Maison Gaudreau brings together two cousins, two men in love with people, gastronomy, and travel.
We personally select each wine in our collection on site, favoring small-production estates that embody the distinctive character of the world’s greatest wine regions.
We exclusively source from vineyards committed to sustainability, responsible cultivation, and fair production practices.
Every bottle forms a bridge between the world’s finest terroirs and Quebec’s sophisticated culinary scene.
From passion to profession
Founders Manuël and Jean-Félix Gaudreau come from a line of importers who, as early as the early 1900s, transported perfumes and alcoholic beverages from France to Québec. It was only a matter of time before the next generation went into business.
During a trip to Dalmatia in Croatia, an idea was born. The remarkable small-scale productions of this region and our realization of the limited access to them here in Quebec propelled us further in our entrepreneurial journey.
On a business trip to South America, Jean-Félix met Martin Sesto, an Argentine winemaker, and his family. He immediately fell for both the man and his wines. A few weeks later, Maison Gaudreau was born!
Manuël and Jean-Félix traveled to Mendoza, Argentina, to share unforgettable moments with winemakers Martin Sesto, Gonzalo Tamagnini, and their families. They took part in the harvest and had the opportunity to experience a full immersion into the winemaking world of Desquiciado Wines.
Maison Gaudreau is venturing out to connect with new partners from Europe and the New World, through wine exhibitions and immersive stays with producers.
The passionate people behind Maison Gaudreau
I have always been drawn to interpersonal relationships; this is why, from a young age, I have pursued a career in sales. Over the past 19 years, I have developed solid experience in high-volume distribution, both as a wholesaler and with an international manufacturer. I later led a sales team as a Territory Director. For me, building business strategies and developing markets are driven above all by the genuine relationships I create. A father for seven years, I have successfully met the challenge of balancing personal life with business development.
From a young age, I developed a strong passion for gastronomy, then wine. I spent 11 years in the restaurant industry before completing my university education in business administration. Traveling the world for five years allowed me to deepen my understanding of wine and the craftsmanship behind every great bottle. I am inspired by process optimization and by cultivating long-term business relationships built on trust.
